If you didn't hear, I was gone yesterday. My daughter had her six month check-up. Monika Remboldt was my sub. She said she had a great day.
Today in computer lab the class worked on the website Brainnook (www.brainnook.com). On this site, the students earn stars by playing math and lanugauage games. The starts are used to help an alien buy parts for his spaceshipt to get back to his home. There is a social component to the game, but at school the students are not allowed to chat or add friends. I did tell them they could do so at home with their parents permission. There is a fee to become a premium member, but our class is just playing the free version. This site can be accessed any where. Ask your child to show you what they've been doing!
